Subject: Utah Chapter of NIGP July Newsletter
From: Utah Chapter of NIGP

Happy July and what is the beginning of a new fiscal year for many of us within public procurement. I hope you are enjoying the summer weather and are able to get the rest and vacation you need.

Our next chapter meeting will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2023, from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. in person at the State Office Building in Taylorsville and virtually.

The format will be the same as the previous NIGP chapter meeting with a panel discussion and training tips on software tools used within our profession.  To help us better meet the needs of the chapter we are asking that members take a brief survey via this link by the end July 2023.

National NIGP Forum is coming up next month in August and our chapter is one of three finalists for the 2023 Outstanding Chapter of the Year Award for Chapter Operations as well as for Professional Development.  What a wonderful compliment to our chapter.  I would like to thank all the chapter members who have helped us work towards this achievement.  The winners will be announced at the Awards Luncheon on Monday, August 21st in Louisville, Kentucky.  There will be special tables reserved for our Chapter members who attend in person.  If you are attending Forum in person and would like to sit at the reserved table, please email me by Thursday, July 27, 2023, as I must give NIGP the number of seats to reserve by Friday the 28th.

Looking forward to the last half of this year.  There are a few positions that will be opening on the board for our chapter including Vice President and Secretary.  If you have interest in please reach out to me at hamer.reiser@slcgov.com.

Thank you,

Hamer
