The dog days of summer are here, and it is hot everywhere! I hope everyone has a great summer planned and you can sneak away to a cooler climate, even if it’s only the weekend.

The Utah Chapter of NIGP has some exciting news! For the THIRD year in a row, the Utah Chapter is one of two finalists for the NIGP Outstanding Chapter Membership Award in 2022. Our Chapter won this award in 2020 and 2021. We are thrilled that we are a finalist again and hope we will win for the 3rd year in a row! NIGP will reserve two (8 seat) tables near the front for members who plan on attending the award banquet dinner.  Please let me know if you are planning on attending Saturday, August 20 in Boston so we make sure to have enough seats reserved.

We also have some exciting events coming up. Make sure to mark your calendar:

  • July 11-15th, we are holding a Special Election for the Vice President position.  Please make sure to vote.
  • Tuesday, August 9, the Utah Chapter of NIGP is hosting a night out with the Sal Lake BEE Baseball team. More information will be send out shortly but as a SNEAK PEEK: We plan on buying 100 tickets (first come, first serve) for our members and their family/friends. Each member can reserve up to 4 tickets for FREE. However, this will be in combination of a fundraiser for the Utah Food Bank and for every $20 online donation received, you can be entered to win a $50 amazon gift card.
More info about the Salt Lake BEE's game will be announced shortly!
  • Wednesday, September 7, and Thursday, September 8 NIGP Area 9 will host a 2-day conference.
The Utah Chapter of NIGP will meet in person on Wednesday only and a light lunch will be served. Register will be announced soon.
  • August 20-24 is the NIGP Boston Forum.  All attendees receive 20.5 contact hours, on-demand access to virtual content, networking sessions, and opportunities to connect with participants and suppliers.
  • DATE CHANGE: The previously scheduled Utah Chapter of NIPG meeting on Nov 18 has been rescheduled to Thursday, December 1. Unfortunately, we had a conflict with an EDPAC buyers workshop so our next in-person meeting date has been changed.  Please update your calendar.
We would love to hear what you are up to. If you have anything exciting to report please let us know.
