Utah Chapter President’s Message August 2024
Hello Chapter members!
According to the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, July 2024 was the warmest July on record for the globe in NOAA's 175-year record. So, I hope your home AC’s and offices have kept you cool and I for one am ready for fall to arrive!
The Reverse Trade Show was a great success thanks to all those entities and agencies that manned table, shook tons of hands, and provided valuable information to the vendor community that supports our missions. We have over 200 attendee’s and great feedback on the location and open-house format. A special thanks to Hamer Reiser, Colette Brown, and Tara Eutsler for their help in making it all come to life and go so smoothly!
SAVE THE DATE!
We will be holding a virtual and in-person chapter meeting on September 19th, 9-11:30am (no lunch served), at Jordan School District Auxiliary Services Building’s Presentation Room on 7905 S Redwood Rd, West Jordan, UT 84088. Registration notification will go out shortly.
Congratulation goes out to 3 of our chapter members who earned their NIGP Certified Procurement Professional designation (NIGP-CPP) during the latest testing period in May 2024.

Procurement Essentials, Methods, & Management is an online, asynchronous class, available to anyone that registers for it through Southern Utah University. The course will cover all aspects of purchasing in the public procurement arena.
This course is designed for those who work in purchasing and are wanting to strengthen their understanding of policies that govern how purchasing is done in a public or governmental setting utilizing public funds.
In addition to learning the various aspects of procuring goods and services using public funds. This course will provide contact hours for both the CPPB and NIGP-CPP certifications. (48 for CPPB and 90 for NIGP-CPP) to extend an individual’s certification and/or meeting eligibility requirements.
Participants can choose from two participation options (ranging from $399 - $749):
